Belkzen

Belkzen is a rugged nation in northern Avistan and home to numerous independent orc holds. Orcs first reached the surface here after being driven from the Darklands and have spent generations rebuilding their identity and reputation. Each late spring or early summer, snowmelt from the Tusk Mountains turns the Flood Road into a riverbed and triggers the Flood Truce: explosive plant growth draws migrating aurochs while dozens of holds camp to gather meat and hides without open conflict.
