The Party arrived at Torrentmoot, where the Flood Road had transformed into a riverbed due to melting snow, and explosive plant growth attracted aurochs. Ardax the White-Hair had summoned dignitaries from various holds to forge deeper alliances among the orc clans. As the last guests to arrive, they were welcomed by camp guards and settled into their accommodations—Vaska and Solara in their own tents, Dergram outside, and Fizzik in a nearby pavilion.
As the gathering commenced, Ardax emphasized respect and camaraderie during the truce, encouraging guests to engage with one another. the Heretic began to drum and sing, drawing attention as the camp dispersed into smaller groups. Vaska Klashe and the Heretic noted the unexpected presence of a representative from Godspear Hold, while Klein and Vaska spotted a small dromaar with a stack of books. the Heretic approached Grothlin, a muscular orc woman, who expressed her disdain for cities. Vaska Klashe challenged her to an arm-wrestling match and won, showcasing her strength. Fizzik and Vanna engaged with Davor, the scholarly dromaar, who shared his fascination with orc society. Solara met Kestrel, a Knight of Lastwall, who sought her assistance in forging alliances amid the tension between their peoples. The atmosphere shifted when orcs gathered around a heavy dumbbell challenge, where Fizzik and Solara both surprised the crowd by lifting the weight.
The next morning, Bonesnap, a muscular dromaar, invited The Party on a hunting expedition to gather supplies before the flood. He warned them that this would be a true hunt. The Party expressed their varying levels of experience, and Bonesnap led them along the Flood Road. Fizzik spotted tracks, earning praise, while Vanna Wintercrest used her knowledge to help track the aurochs. Vaska Klashe cooked for the group, though her efforts had ill effects on the second day. That night, the ground trembled as two giant burrowing creatures erupted from the earth, catching The Party off guard. A fierce battle ensued, with Klein, Vaska Klashe, Fizzik, Vanna Wintercrest, the Heretic, and Solara working together to defeat the creatures swiftly. Afterward, they patched up their wounds and prepared for another day of hunting.
On the third day, Bonesnap was confident they were close to the aurochs. The Party reached a rocky overlook and spotted a herd grazing. Bonesnap challenged them to vault an aurochs and leave a handprint on it. Fizzik accepted the challenge, successfully vaulting an aurochs and marking it, while Solara and Vanna Wintercrest attempted to follow suit but inadvertently alerted the herd, leading to a chaotic confrontation. The Party engaged the aurochs in battle, with Klein striking decisively, the Heretic calling down thunder, and Fizzik using his boomerang. Vaska Klashe delivered the final blow to the last aurochs, and the hunters returned to find The Party had succeeded in the hunt. With their catch secured, the hunting party began the journey back to Torrentmoot, anticipating a return trip that would take one more day.
