Kar led Xan and Ilo east to forage, then held back skeletons while the younger two hid and barricaded themselves in a cave. He first threatened the rescuers from behind the barricade, then joined the party, guided them through the tomb, and rushed the white-haired undead to destroy it with his hatchet—after Gurnak knocked him clear of its final attack. He thanked Gurnak but claimed the kill as his own, later acknowledged the party’s help, and promised to tell everyone they saved the children. Ardax heard his stories.
