Davorr, also known as Davor, is a small dromaar scholar and decade-long member of the Pathfinder Society.
He carries books, keeps a notebook, and wears a worn breastplate repaired several times. He carries a warhammer and keeps expensive books nearby, including Pathfinder Chronicles and poorly researched works on Orcs, which he believes may still contain fragments of truth.
Davor visited Torrentmoot to study the Flood Truce. He welcomed Fizzik and Vanna, set aside his journal, and introduced himself. He said Ardax’s gathering could become a historical turning point by uniting Belkzen’s halls and finding allies against the Whispering Tyrant, a threat also faced by elves. He told Klein that he had belonged to the Pathfinder Society for almost ten years, described the Black Jackets as well-trained Druman mercenaries devoted to their employers and pay, and recommended Grothlin or Kestrel for knowledge of warfare. He declined Klein’s offer to recruit him, saying he was a scholar rather than a warrior.
When Gurnak approached, Davor introduced himself and let him examine his books, offering to lend any volume if it was returned. He inspected Gurnak’s hands, called them a librarian’s hands, and expressed skepticism about handwashing. Davor moved his most valuable books to safety when Fizzik approached and asked whether he belonged to Oprak’s goblin delegation. He shared lyrics he had heard Orcs singing in their camps, suggesting they had taken a liking to Fizzik. He discussed goblin acceptance, hostility toward Goblins, and Kestrel’s regard for them. Davor admired Fizzik’s unusually long mane, took notes while Fizzik explained its natural variation and care, and remained with him to continue their conversation.
Davor planned to spend several weeks in Urgir documenting urban orcs before returning to Absalom. He discussed with Gurnak a book about orcs, noting that omissions could be revealing, and said that Belkzen called to him. He explained that the Pathfinder Society had no official agreement to fight Tarbaphon, but had been offered access to Thassilonian Ruins in exchange for support from items found there. He described the Cenotaph, an ancient black-marble obelisk his research connected in some way to Tarbaphon’s rise. While packing his books against the rain, he answered Fizzik’s questions about Tarbaphon and undead, recounting Tarbaphon’s rise and return as a lich, the Knights of Ozem’s binding of Arazni and her later resurrection as a lich, and her eventual freedom and ascension. He mentioned rumors of Crimson Knights or Reclaimers blessed by Arazni, though some accounts named Ragathiel as their patron. He also discussed goblin choices and Lamashtu worship with Fizzik, and called Fizzik’s demonstration of goblin singing rhythmic and emotional. At the main fire pit, Davor was explaining migratory cycles when Ardax addressed the gathering. On the way to the overlook, he made notes about small animals. He and Gurnak agreed to exchange notes, correspond, and work together on a book; Davor gave Gurnak a scroll of mirror image.
