Broken Spears

Location overview

Broken Spears is a badlands region about twenty miles away, filled with numerous rock spires. Perytons are common there. The Group traveled to Broken Spears after learning that perytons had attacked the scouts, then killed two perytons near the approach. They found a narrow, nearly hidden path to the summit of a spire, whose remarkably flat top overlooked the badlands, river road, and northern mountains. A large nest held two perytons, a mother and daughter, who offered treasure for the other’s death. The Group killed the mother; the daughter fled after promising to leave. The Group looted the nest, recovering treasure that included an acid flask and a returning rune.
