The Party

Faction overview

Outsiders who arrived at Ardax’s gathering at Torrentmoot during Belkzen’s flood truce.
The Party’s appearance and bearing are not described. Its members included Solara, Vanna, Klein, and Gurnak.
The Party participated in the gathering’s contests and accepted Bonesnap’s invitation to join an aurochs-hunting expedition. During the dumbbell challenge, Fizzik and Solara lifted and balanced the shifting weight. On the hunt, The Party followed Bonesnap along the Flood Road, scouted for the herd, and endured illness caused by Vaska’s cooking. When two giant burrowing creatures attacked their camp, The Party defeated them and resumed the expedition. On the third day, Fizzik completed Bonesnap’s aurochs-vaulting challenge, and The Party fought the herd near a steep drop. Vaska Klashe killed the last aurochs, and the returning hunters acknowledged The Party’s success before accompanying them back toward Torrentmoot.
At Torrentmoot, The Party fought winged creatures and rescued a scout. They joined a daughter in killing her mother during a pack leadership dispute and cleared the pack from the area. At camp, they confronted two undead bears: Fizzik destroyed one, and Klein split the other in half. Ardax stated that his scouts had killed the bears days earlier, but that the bodies had risen due to the area’s necromantic energies. At the overlook, Gurnak alerted Ardax to the absence of animal sounds. Ardax thanked The Party and gave them a spacious pouch before the gathering watched the flood arrive. After several weeks at Torrentmoot, The Party observed the Deluge with Ardax. When undead emerged along the riverbanks, Ardax ordered The Party to lead the return to camp and protect the gathering. On the route, they reached the needledown cactus hills and encountered a stampede of aurochs and undead attacking stragglers in the rain. Fizzik broke free from a creature holding him, Vaska struck down undead with her maul and crushed the last one’s skull, and Ardax and his guards dealt with the remaining undead.
As they returned to camp, The Party fought flood ghouls and then joined Ardax’s guards against another mass of undead. Vanna shot a ghoul, Klein burned two and later destroyed another, and Gurnak and Solara supported the battle. An enemy wizard wounded Klein and blinded Vanna. Vanna and Solara attacked it, and Gurnak’s next attack made it explode into light. Apollo cleared Vanna’s blindness, and Solara healed the party before they resumed their march.
At Torrentmoot, Solara helped organize the attendees and animals, Gurnak tried to manage the animals, Vanna repaired and rigged equipment, and Klein attempted to load equipment. Ardax asked The Party to accompany the caravan to Cleft Head Hold, then left to raise the alarm in Urgir. The Party traveled with the caravan and recovered fully on the journey. When Grothlin asked them to find a safe ford, Vanna searched with Solara’s help. They encountered skin slugs there. Vanna attacked with runes, Klein struck the creatures with magic and his weapon, Gurnak used healing and cold magic, and Solara fought with sunlight. Gurnak froze one to death, revealing an underwater battle axe. After returning to the caravan, Gurnak asked about Segrek’s missing pendant, and Solara helped search. A party member found it beneath them. Gurnak told Segrek about a soothing herbal mixture that might help him maintain control, with Solara supporting the claim. Segrek thanked them and offered his help.
