Fizzik, also known as “the Fabulous”: a goblin who seeks better prospects for goblins through closer ties with Belkzen.
Fizzik keeps his distinctive hair puffed up with pomade and daily combing. He is lively and boisterous, and has demonstrated goblin singing with guttural noises and screeches.
Fizzik arrived at Torrentmoot with The Party and took a spot in a nearby pavilion. He and Vanna met Davorr, admiring his books before Davorr set them aside to talk; Fizzik held Davorr’s parchment of orc song lyrics and hummed a tune. At the dumbbell pavilion, he lifted the trick weight overhead and won a purse of 50 gold. He condemned goblin tribes that stole and ate people’s dogs, saying such acts harmed negotiation and friendship. He joined Hign Bonesnap’s aurochs-hunting expedition, spotted tracks on the first day, and explained around the campfire that goblins were tired of oppression and hoped Belkzen might offer a better life. During an attack by giant burrowing creatures, he found an opening in one’s defenses and bit it. In a tooth-fairy attack, he bit several creatures, killed one by biting off its head, and fought through the plague dust. On the third day, he vaulted an aurochs, seized its horn, and marked its rump with a painted handprint; returning hunters recognized the mark and congratulated him. He struck the herd twice with his returning boomerang and was trampled with Klein and Solara when the last aurochs charged. He persuaded the Tuskless Orc to permit Gurnak’s examination and later offered him recovered tusk blades. Fizzik joined the search for missing scouts, warned a fleeing peryton never to return, and threw his boomerang into another peryton’s head, recovering treasure from the nest, including an acid flask and a returning rune.
Fizzik grew up among goblins and approached Kestrel because he admired elves and wanted to exchange stories. He agreed to help find Kar, Xan, and Ilo, and traveled east with the group. In the tomb, piercing attacks did little against the first skeletons; he weakened one with his bell, was badly wounded by a skeletal glaive, and later threw his boomerang at a skeletal champion. He focused his preparations on the white-haired undead, encouraged Kar, corrected Kar’s claims about killing it, and announced that Kar was a legendary slayer. He retained the dragon turtle scale from Ardax’s Puzzle Box and received the enchanted striking effect on his handwraps. He offered to help Davor pack and discussed goblin-orc cooperation, including alternatives to life in the wilds and Lamashtu worship. He won an insult contest against a hobgoblin, mocking the hobgoblin’s baldness and lack of courage. He took the Phantom Roll prepared by Vaska and boasted of biting the head off an undead bear. During an undead attack, he fought his captors, bit them until he broke free, and destroyed one of the undead. He also climbed walls to escape danger and escaped an aurochs stampede by climbing a wall. Gurnak gave him a spacious pouch to carry items for The Party.
