Hannah Velerin

Hannah Velerin is Sandpoint's herbalist and healer, a half-elf woman whose practice occupies the practical space between the town's access to divine healing through the cathedral and the more immediate and affordable remedies that ordinary people require for ordinary ailments on ordinary days.

Biography

She is knowledgeable, careful and possessed of the particular bedside manner that genuine healers develop — not the performed warmth of someone trying to seem reassuring but the grounded steadiness of someone who has seen enough suffering to have stopped being frightened by it without having stopped caring about it. Hannah is Sandpoint’s local midwife and the town’s only medical professional who does not use healing magic or vitality potions.
