A decayed, intelligent undead known as the Zombie Lord wields a scythe and possesses the ability to command other zombies and create new ones from corpses. It can draw power from nearby destroyed undead into its scythe.
The Zombie Lord emerged from a building, thanked the party for assisting it, and declared a "jail-bearer" free. Several hobgoblin corpses animated as undead under its control. The Zombie Lord attacked, inflicting severe wounds on Vendel with its scythe. It consumed a potion to become invisible. During the confrontation, its ability to absorb power from destroyed undead was noted. Gundugar targeted the Zombie Lord's position with bombs, ultimately defeating it. The Zombie Lord's corpse had been dead far longer than the recently animated Ironfang Legion, and its body was described as invisible while alive but visible when dead.
