Character overview
A man in a green Nirmathan militia uniform met with the party after several days of packing. He reported attacks across Nirmathas, increasingly aggressive hobgoblin activity in the Hollow Hills, and refugees arriving faster than the Nirmathans could feed or shelter them. He stated that the Fangwood attacks appeared to have been a diversion while the Legion’s main forces advanced west, and that Nirmathas needed intelligence, allies, and resources. He asked the party to investigate and return with information, presenting them with six golden-leaf brooches honoring their service, recognized by rangers and militia members.
He requested that they go west as soon as possible, allowing time for their local responsibilities. He mentioned that troops were moving into the three recovered forts, with space at Fort Trevalay reserved for the party and their people. He inquired whether they had repelled the attack on Phaendar and explained that the rangers had been unprepared for the hobgoblins and their dragons. He informed Gundugar Herdtender that contact with Kraggodan had been lost and asked the party to bring back any information about it. After responding to the party’s suggestion that the hobgoblins might be turned against the Molthuni, he thanked them and departed.
