Character overview
A woman danced around a polished tree-stump table, playing a lyre and urging four dwarves to feast. When Finnetharyn Fimbleshanks approached, she invited the newcomers to eat, drink, and celebrate. She offered him her hand and a second breakfast, and called him a fey who had lost his way. After Arsène declined her offer to dance, she accused him of being controlled by his partner and told those unwilling to have fun to leave. Gundugar Herdtender approached her and became captivated. She cast a spell that confused Finn, then moved away, still dancing.
Wren identified her as a Maenad, a fey that encouraged sin and excess before eating its victims. The Maenad’s dance hindered Wren, Nova, Gundugar, and Finn, while captivating Bruneg and Arsène. She attacked Bruneg, but his raised shield helped him avoid the blow. Vendel Coldblade used several powers against her, and his attempted strikes missed. Gundugar threw fire and acid bombs at her, taking care not to harm anyone else. After telling Finn to shut up, she was struck by Arsène’s cold-iron weapon and died burning. The four dwarves began vomiting, and a nonmagical lyre remained.
