NPC overview

Rhyna is Father Noelan's assistant at the Riverwood Shrine — a Chelish woman with bronze skin, wavy blond hair, and pale green eyes, and an optimism that most people in Phaendar find either admirable or mildly irritating depending on the day. She genuinely means well in everything she does, which tends to make her irritating quality particularly durable. She has absorbed enough of Noelan's faith and practice to serve as a capable assistant, handling the quieter duties of the shrine — maintaining the offerings, welcoming visitors, presiding over small observances — while the old priest handles the weightier spiritual work.
Her optimism is not naivety. She has chosen it deliberately, the way some people choose a coat against the cold, and she wears it with the same practical intention. Beneath it she is capable enough that when the situation demands it, she acts — not after waiting for someone else to take charge, but with the brisk determination of someone who has decided that standing by is not an option. What she lacks in experience she compensates for in conviction. Tragically, Rhyna was found dead at the desecrated shrine after trying to retake it from those who had wronged it.
