Lirosa Ayubarin, also known as Lirossa, is a half-elf hunter and scout, one of the Ayubarin twins and an Aiuvarin sibling.
Lirosa is the more recognizable of the siblings around town. She carries an amulet of Erastil, which she leaves at the Riverwood Shrine to “recharge” before retrieving it, and an ebony religious symbol kept as a personal keepsake.
Lirosa and Taidel are half-elf siblings and hunters with a reputation among the locals. They know the terrain around Phaendar and the paths between it and the Fangwood well. They are not soldiers and have little love for discipline or authority, but are competent in the woods and quick to act when needed. When faced with danger, their instinct is to shoot back rather than run. Lirosa is involved in leading and organizing the refugees from Phaendar. Fangwood Six found her keepsake among salvaged items in their camp and discussed returning a butterfly pendant to her, indicating a connection to Tessna.
Lirosa reported a small patch of strange fungus a few miles northwest of the caves, where trees appeared eaten from the inside out. She had heard a shrill, unnatural laugh there, but retreated without investigating further because she was afraid. She said she had not eaten the fungus and asked the party to be aware of the site.
On the way back to the caverns, Lirosa kept watch with her bow aimed at the party. After Wren reminded her that they had grown up together, she apologized and explained that the refugees were nervous: a woman had arrived a month early claiming to bring deliveries the party had ordered, but she was not the person they expected. Lirosa reported an attack by crawling, grayish humanoids. The defenders had disposed of the bodies except for one they kept to show the party; there had been no casualties, though some refugees had left to seek a home elsewhere in the forest. Lirosa doubted Finnetharyn Fimbleshanks’s claim that the party had killed a dragon until Wren showed her a scale. She led the party to the retained corpse and said there had been several attackers, with no apparent strategy. The remaining refugees had plenty of provisions but had been occupied with the wounded and had not tracked those who left. Lirosa thought the departed refugees might have gone toward their original camp near Phaendar. Reassured by the Chernasardo Rangers’ presence, she agreed to prepare everyone for the move to the fort.
