Ibzairiak

NPC overview

Ibzairiak, also known as Ironfang, Ypsyriac, Dragon Ypsyriac, The Dragon, and simply Dragon, is a name associated with a bog dragon who has been a plague upon the forest for almost a hundred years. Longfrond warned Fangwood Six about Ibzairiak while describing the dragon as traveling with Ironfang Legion. The dragon was present at the northern ranger fort, where a hobgoblin scout engaged with a party during a patrol. The scout declared that "Ibzairiak knew what the party had done" and proclaimed that all "pinkskins" would die. During the skirmish, the surviving scout reiterated that Ibzairiak was aware of the party's actions and attempted to stab Gundugar Herdtender before being killed. The phrase "You will all pinkskins die when Ibzairiak" was also shouted by the scout. Accompanying Ibzairiak, several Ironfang Hobgoblins from the Ironfang Legion arrived with a broken druid and larger green-skinned creatures. The male bog Ironfang flew over the fort, destroyed part of its wall with acid, and was among several male bog dragons in the region seeking the favor of an ancient female through displays of power or wealth.
The Dragon was allied with Ironfang Hobgoblins and accompanied by a druid who served it. After the trolls’ father wrecked Fort Nunder while attempting to capture it for Ironfang Hobgoblins, the Dragon and its druid came to the fort. The Dragon ate the troll’s father’s face and declared the ruined fort to be the trolls’ payment. Fangwood Six deemed the dragon-held fort too dangerous for an immediate attack and opted to inspect the western supply fort first. When asked whether they intended to serve Ibzairiak, the party answered that they intended to kill it.
