Biography

NPC overview

Edran, also known as Drum, is a traveling merchant who was in Phaendar before the attack and is currently en route to Tamran. He wears wrecked clothes and has visible scratches, speaking with a Varisian accent. He presents himself as sociable, offering to organize, entertain, and help gather firewood. He stumbled into camp that night, attempting to run past The Party until they calmed him. He recognized Finnetharyn from the tavern and explained that he fled over the bridge during the hobgoblin attack and hid in the forest for days. The Party judged that he lacked woodland survival skills and permitted him to stay. His suggestion to brighten the camp with color was rejected. He slept on the ground near the fire and was assigned to keep the fire through the night.
Edran later developed symptoms similar to those of previously sick refugees and was identified as one of those assigned to the Main Camp after fleeing from hobgoblins. He fell ill alongside other sick refugees, who had shown signs of improvement earlier in the cycle, and was subsequently quarantined with them. Edran is a refugee who was found fleeing from Ironfang Legion, indicating a background of displacement and survival. After the Upper Caverns were cleared and refugees were settled, it was reported that Edran had begun fishing in the pool, showcasing his skill at fishing, which may provide sustenance for himself and others. His experience with evading threats, specifically Ironfang Legion, could inform the party's understanding of threats in the area.
