Dressed in a grey-and-brown poncho, the Chernasardo Ranger observed Main Camp from a tree while an archer covered The Party. He signaled with an owl call, laughed at Gundugar Herdtender’s response, climbed down, and demanded to know their identities. Upon seeing their poster, he recognized Party as the Fangwood Six.
He warned them of hobgoblins, dangerous allies, and a horned, Acid-Spitting Dragon occupying the largest northern fort. He had scouted Fort Trevalay and witnessed friends’ bones dissolved by the dragon’s acid. He reported hostile fey at Fort Ristin, expressed little hope for the forts, and mentioned Canopy Trolls to the west, advising Party to avoid The Road. He recognized Gundugar from Ramsgate and referred to him as “that mad bastard.” The ranger and his hidden companions then vanished into the forest.
