The refugees from the caverns left to seek another place to stay while the others prepared to move. At least a dozen later camped at an abandoned camp alongside other survivors of Phaendar.
Main Camp had no watches. Arden reported that the refugees hunted conspicuously, fished loudly upriver, and poorly guarded their food. Many were lying around; several had vomited, and their leader often held his stomach. The leader denied being ill, but moving bumps were visible beneath his skin, and several other refugees had similar signs. The refugees accepted an infusion to treat the parasites, and all drank it. Within hours, the visible worms stopped moving; after a couple of days, the refugees began expelling them.
