Bruneg recognized the voice of the hobgoblin the party had previously spared—the one who had experimented on a rat. Closer inspection revealed at least three dozen apparent Ironfang deserters in a badly organized camp, their uniforms dirty and incomplete. The party overheard them planning to go south for new slaves, then retake the fort.
