She is depicted as a young woman of breathtaking loveliness carrying a glaive and a many-coloured songbird, and her faith holds that the creation of beauty, in any medium and by any hand, is an act of genuine spiritual significance. Her clergy encourage artistic pursuits in all their faithful regardless of talent, on the principle that the sincerity of the attempt matters more than the quality of the result. She is, in this sense, one of the most democratic of the major deities. Her history carries a grief that her faith does not hide.
