Biography
He is a one-legged fisherman turned tavern keeper whose wooden leg and weathered face give him exactly the look that a man running a waterfront tavern called the Hagfish ought to have, and he leans into that aesthetic with the cheerful self-awareness of someone who understands that atmosphere is half the business. He is gregarious, loud and possessed of an inexhaustible supply of fishing stories whose relationship with strict factual accuracy has loosened considerably over the years without diminishing their entertainment value in the slightest.
