River Crossing

Location overview

A watchman normally guarded the river crossing. When the group reached it on the way to Foxclove Manor, no watchman was present. Lucien found a human arm hidden in nearby bushes, with bite marks resembling human bites rather than ghoul bites. Esquik discovered that the body had been thoroughly destroyed, and the bites varied in size, suggesting at least half a dozen people had bitten it.
As Esquik went farther into the riverbed, a mass of rotting bodies emerged from the water, and a second mass rose from below the crossing. The group fought and brought down the undead. Many of the fallen bore ghoul-like bite marks, and their clothing resembled that of farmers from the farmlands east of the crossing.
