It has a magical effect that produces smoke when the correct word is spoken. Finley carried the sword during a goblin attack to honor his grandmother. After the attack, a goblin was seen fleeing with a great sword and a piece of leather. Townsfolk reported that a fleeing goblin had taken a large sword. The party tracked the trail for fifteen days along Long Street but found no usable tracks and abandoned the search.
