Event account: Esquik found himself paralyzed and unable to move, while Lucien unleashed a magical attack against the Vargouille. Rasvantin identified the creature, explaining that its paralyzing shriek would last until it lost sight of Esquik, he moved far enough away, or it managed to bite him.
