NPC overview
The Scribe Devil was an avian-looking devil identified as a scribe and junior scholar among devils. It carried a quill and could command, shield itself with magic, and frighten targets with a shushing gesture that could potentially silence them.
It stood with Sister Endreah in the study of Sister of the Golden Erinys when the party arrived. It commanded Kracka, but he resisted, then protected itself with a magical shield. It shushed Lexx Rennde, frightening her with memories of disapproving librarians, and unsuccessfully stabbed Kracka with its quill. Khar’gan struck it with the Crimson Thorn, while Kuippana’s magic caused it no harm and Mielikki struck it directly. Kracka killed The Scribe Devil, which returned to Hell, leaving its possessions behind.
