The Attic Whisperer

NPC overview

An undead child-creature born from children’s pain, The Attic Whisperer was trapped in the Bright Embers Orphanate’s bedroom among rows of decrepit beds, tattered blankets, empty drawers, a canine skull, and a stuffed bear. It had made its home there after the nuns and children left. Its emergence triggered a lullaby-haunt that nearly put Samantha and Kracka to sleep. It bit and clawed Kracka unconscious before Kuippana sent Mielikki against it and frost magic wounded it. Khar’gan battered it, while Kracka knocked it prone and continued attacking. It struck back ineffectively, then fled to a corner and collapsed sobbing. Lexx Rennde’s embrace left it confused and sluggish. Khar’gan cut it twice, Kracka nearly wrecked it with a hammer, and Mielikki finally smashed its skull against the wall, destroying it in the orphanage’s attic. The Attic Whisperer is also known as the Attic Whisperer and is recognized as the origin of the Hound.
