Phoebe Demetrias is the other founder of the Hellbreakers League, and its iron spine. A righteous, battle-hardened human, she once served as an officer in the Isgeriarmy — until the Goblinblood Wars showed her that the military was protecting trade routes and the capital's elite rather than the common people, and she deserted in disgust. She made her way afterward as a mercenary, taking only the jobs that sat right with her conscience, and it was in that life that she crossed paths with Alceo, rescuing him from Chelaxianpursuers and agreeing to guard him on his flight east. The two fell in love and resolved to stay in Isgerand fight for it together. Where Alceo provides the League's voice and conviction, Phoebe provides its discipline and its sword: a seasoned commander who drills the rebels, sharpens their tactics, and leads from the front when the fighting starts. Like her husband, she now prefers to work behind the scenes, grooming promising recruits to one day carry the cause forward.
