About Hellbreakers League
Faction overview
The Hellbreakers League is a young but rapidly growing rebel organization, founded in Isger by idealists and former soldiers who had grown sick of watching ordinary people suffer for the failures of their faraway Chelaxian rulers and their own neglectful government. Led by the husband-and-wife founders Alceo and Phoebe Demetrias, Hellbreakers League gathers like-minded rebels from every walk of life — local farmers defending their homes, exiles fleeing Cheliax, foreign sympathizers, and hardened veterans alike — under a single oath: to renounce Abrogail Thrune's claim over Isger and to topple Chelaxian tyranny wherever it festers. Operating out of a secret headquarters in a two-story house on Saringallow’s eastern side, The Hellbreakers also utilizes safe houses and a dockside warehouse to shelter recruits and conceal supplies. Counting the Eagle Knights among their allies, the Hellbreakers stand opposed to the Isgeri government, the might of Cheliax, and the infernal powers of Hell itself.
Keenly aware that they are a still-developing movement challenging one of the world's most powerful nations, the Hellbreakers know they cannot win through brute strength alone. Their tactics lean on wit, daring, and hard-won knowledge of the fiendish forces their enemies wield — striking through sword, spell, and subterfuge to liberate the oppressed and bring down tyrants. Just as important to The Hellbreakers is its reputation among the very people it fights for: its leaders are deeply concerned that the Hellbreakers be remembered as righteous freedom fighters rather than dismissed as a band of violent insurgents. To that end, a true Hellbreaker is expected to protect the innocent and serve the cause, never their own ambition. Rhograk, one of The Hellbreakers's leaders, has stated that they will break laws for the greater good, seize military goods, avoid unnecessary killing, and win the people of Isger to their cause.
Edicts — fight oppressors, reject tyranny, protect the innocent, renounce Abrogail Thrune and her sovereignty over Isger. Anathema — condoning oppression, serving tyrants, harming civilians, seeking power for self-gain.
