Eagle Knights

The Eagle Knights are Andoran's famed order of idealists, sworn to the cause of liberty above crown or coin. Where Cheliax exports tyranny, the Eagle Knights export freedom — championing the rights of common folk, opposing slavery in all its forms, and standing against tyrants wherever they take root. The order is divided into three branches, each pursuing that creed by its own means: the Golden Legion, Andoran's disciplined standing army and the nation's shield; the Steel Falcons, who range beyond Andoran's borders to break the chains of the oppressed and aid those rising against their masters; and the secretive Twilight Talons, who hunt tyrants from the shadows when open battle won't serve. It is the Steel Falcons, in their distinctive blue, black, and gold regalia marked with a golden eagle, who have come to Isger.

Because the Eagle Knights are officially independent of Andoran's government, the Supreme Elect was able to send them into Isger without formally declaring war on Cheliax — at least until Abrogail Thrune chose to treat their arrival as one anyway. Roused by the public execution of the Andoren envoy General Cormoth, the Steel Falcons marched in, routed the Order of the Rack at the Battle of Hellknight Hill, and reclaimed Breachill and Citadel Altaerein from Chelaxian hands. There they made common cause with the Hellbreakers League, who fought at their side and were promised continued Andoren aid for the struggle ahead. To a Hellbreaker, the Eagle Knight is the closest thing the cause has to a powerful friend: a fellow believer in freedom, well-armed and battle-tested — though one whose loyalties ultimately answer to a foreign nation with interests of its own.
